Equine Clinic & Ambulatory Service
Three Rivers Veterinary Group Equine Clinic increases the quality and standard of care that we are able to provide and it will save travelling longer distances for certain diagnostics or treatments. Our main treatment room is fully equipped for ultrasound, X-rays, video-endoscopy, intra-articular injections, nerve blocks etc.
By looking at the long-term health needs of your horse our aim is to provide your horse with better performance and health and you with fewer emergency visits.
In addition to the services of our Equine Clinic we focus on the care of your horse at your home, livery stable, or pasture.
Routine procedures include vaccinations, deworming, maintenance dental care, health checks, passport examinations, pre purchase exams. In addition, many other health concerns can be evaluated while at the stable including: lameness, illness, reproductive issues, ophthalmic injuries and emergency situations such as colic and lacerations. Our veterinary surgeons will evaluate your horse and administer the appropriate treatments and if deemed necessary, discuss with you the option of referring your horse to the clinic for more intensive care. We have a portable x-ray machine that can be used for conventional radiography in the field as well as portable ultrasound units that can be utilized for reproductive services.
Some procedures commonly done in the field include: physical exam evaluation, administration of medications, laceration repair, superficial tumour removal, castrations, wound care, hoof injury and abscess care, joint injections and more. We use laboratory testing of blood and other samples to expedite diagnosis and treatment options.

Our emergency service is available 24 hours, 365 days per year.
