Norfolk and Suffolk Show
We will be attending both the Norfolk and Suffolk shows this year. Hope to see you there.
Norfolk Show Winner
The winner of the prize for the "fastest milker in the East" was Brian Clegg, from Aylsham who managed to milk 594ml off our cow in 30 seconds. Well done Mr Clegg!!
Norfolk Show

On the 29th and 30th of June Three Rivers Veterinary Group had a stand at The Royal Norfolk Show. It was a great success with a chance to catch up with many clients. The stand proved popular with children of all ages having the opportunity to milk a cow. We estimate over 400 people visited the stand each day.
Evening Talk
We will be holding an evening talk on April 11th 2011 at 7.30 at the Beccles surgery. The main topic will be: Lungworm in dogs. There is no charge to attend and we will provide tea and biscuits. If you are interested please ring 01502 712169 to reserve a place as we are limited to the number of people who can attend.
Nurse obtains Dental Certificate
On the 5th March 2011 Lucy Woodburn obtained the BVNA certificate in Small Animal Dentistry. She passed the exam with a merit. She also has a BVNA certificate in Companion Animal Behaviour.
May - National Vaccination Month

We will be taking part in the national vaccination month -May 2011. During this month will will be offering to re start a pet whose vaccines have lapsed for the cost of a booster vaccine. All you need to do to take part is get a voucher. Click here for link for more information.
Large Animal Practice seminars
The large animal practice holds regular seminars on a variety of topics. The last one was held at the Flixton Buck on the25th of January. The next one will be 16th March again at the Flixton Buck. The seminar will be about TB.
Trainee Vet Nurses
In January 2010 both Michelle Helsen and Vicky Wright passed the exams to become fully qualified Vet Nurses. This means there are now 6 fully qualified Vet Nurses at Three Rivers Veterinary Group. Emma Petts and Sharon Constable have done a great job helping them to achieve this qualification.
Practice Team Complete Snowdon Challenge

On a day when six people were airlifted to safety by Mountain rescue, six team members from Three Rivers Veterinary Group successfully completed The Snowdon Challenge to raise money for the Animals Asia Foundation charity. In total The Three Rivers Veterinary Group team raised over £1800. Weather conditions were terrible but with correct equipment, experienced ex forces guides and determination all six members joined a group of 14 others to complete the challenge. The weather on 6th June was terrible and the group experienced heavy rain all day, 50 mph winds, near freezing air temperatures and visibility of approximately 15feet at the summit. The team members were: Mark Norton, Lucy Woodburn, Sharon Constable, Diane Frost, Vicky Wright and Mike Flynn. All the team members would like to thank all the people who sponsored them and helped to raise money for this worthy cause

Petplan Award Nominations
Both Lynn Plane, our Loddon receptionist, and Emma Petts, one of the partners were nominated in the recent petplan practice wards in the best receptionist and best vet categories.
Open Day - July 08
The open day was a great success despite the weather. All proceeds from the day were donated to the supporting charities. The partners would like to thank all members of staff who helped to make the day so interesting for everybody. They would also like to thank the drug companies who sponsored the day and attended to help support us.

Booster Vaccination Art Competition
We would like to thank all those who entered the art competition to design the front of our booster vaccination reminder cards and made the decisions so difficult.
The winners in the age 4 - 8 group were Megan Whitham in first place and Alice Etteridge in second place.
The winners in the age 9 - 13 group were Grace Brown in first place and Anais Ribery-Doyle in second place.
